Our cosy cottage was built around 1870 and is snuggled in the hamlet of Port Mulgrave, ideally situated for visiting the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors and the stunning coastline.

If you are looking for a short break where you can simply chill out and recharge your batteries, go for a stroll in beautiful scenery or enjoy a coastal walk, then our cottage is ideally situated. You may want to explore the nearby quaint villages of Runswick Bay and Staithes. On the other hand you might want to let your children experience the joys of building a sand castle or what could be more exciting for them than finding their first ammonite on a fossil hunting trip on which could arguably be described as one of the best fossilling beaches in Yorkshire - well worth the 10 minute walk down to the port (perhaps a bit longer coming back up the hill! And not really suitable for buggys or wheelchairs).

The local area has a wealth of artistic talent with many local artists willing to open their studios and often their homes to interested visitors. More information can be found in the cottage or contact us direct. Within an easy walking distance there is a tearoom, Bistro, shop and two Pubs.
